Traffic Quality Standards

LumoVibe Media requires all publisher traffic to meet strict quality standards. These standards ensure campaign integrity, protect advertiser interests, and maintain sustainable revenue for compliant publishers.

Acceptable Traffic Sources

The following traffic sources are considered acceptable and are expected to represent legitimate human user engagement:

Search Engines

Organic and paid traffic from recognized search engines. Traffic must originate from legitimate search queries and comply with the search engine's advertising policies.

Social Media

Traffic from established social media platforms through organic posts, shares, or compliant paid promotions. Engagement must represent genuine user interest.

Direct Navigation

Users who access content directly by typing the URL, using bookmarks, or through browser history. This represents the highest quality traffic source.

Email Marketing (Opt-In)

Traffic generated from email campaigns where recipients have explicitly opted in to receive communications. CAN-SPAM and applicable email marketing regulations must be followed.

Content Discovery Platforms

Traffic from reputable content recommendation and discovery platforms that serve content suggestions to users based on their interests and browsing behavior.

Prohibited Traffic Sources

The following traffic sources are strictly prohibited. Any publisher found to be using these sources will be subject to enforcement action as outlined in this policy.

Bot Traffic

Any traffic generated by automated software, scripts, or bots, regardless of sophistication level. This includes both known bots and traffic exhibiting non-human behavioral patterns.

Click Farms

Traffic originating from click farm operations where individuals or automated systems are paid to generate artificial clicks, impressions, or engagement.

Incentivized Traffic

Traffic where users are compensated, rewarded, or otherwise incentivized to visit content or interact with advertisements. This includes pay-per-click schemes, reward walls, and similar mechanisms.

Pop-Under / Pop-Up Generated Traffic

Traffic generated through pop-under or pop-up windows that open without explicit user action. This includes traffic from browser windows opened automatically behind the active window.

Malware / Adware Traffic

Traffic generated by malware, adware, spyware, or any software installed on user devices without informed consent. This includes browser hijacking and toolbar-based redirection.

Purchased Low-Quality Traffic

Traffic acquired from third-party traffic vendors, exchanges, or networks that cannot verify the legitimacy and quality of their traffic sources.

Quality Metrics & Thresholds

LumoVibe Media monitors the following key metrics to assess traffic quality. Publishers whose traffic consistently falls outside acceptable thresholds will be flagged for review.

MetricExpectation
Bounce RateTraffic with abnormally high bounce rates (significantly above industry averages for the content category) will be flagged for review
Session DurationSessions should reflect meaningful user engagement. Extremely short session durations across a large volume of traffic indicate potential quality issues
Geographic DistributionTraffic geography should be consistent with the publisher's declared target audience. Sudden shifts in geographic distribution trigger enhanced monitoring
IVT RateCombined GIVT and SIVT rates must remain below acceptable industry thresholds. Persistent elevation results in escalation
Click-Through Rate (CTR)CTR should fall within normal ranges for the content vertical. Abnormally high or low CTR patterns are investigated

Specific numerical thresholds are not published to prevent manipulation. LumoVibe Media reserves the right to adjust quality thresholds based on industry standards, campaign requirements, and content category benchmarks.

Monitoring & Enforcement

LumoVibe Media employs continuous monitoring to ensure ongoing compliance with traffic quality standards. Our monitoring process includes:

Real-Time Monitoring

Automated systems analyze traffic patterns in real-time, flagging anomalies as they occur. This enables rapid response to quality issues before they impact campaign performance.

Periodic Audits

Regular audits of publisher traffic sources and quality metrics are conducted to identify trends and patterns that may not be apparent in real-time analysis.

Third-Party Validation

Independent verification tools are used to cross-reference internal findings and provide an objective assessment of traffic quality.

Publisher Communication

Publishers are notified of quality concerns through their account manager. Constructive feedback is provided with actionable recommendations for improvement.

Consequences of Violations

Violations of traffic quality standards are addressed through a graduated enforcement framework. Actions are proportional to the severity, frequency, and apparent intent of the violation.

First Violation -- Warning

Written notice is issued identifying the specific quality issue and required corrective actions. The publisher is given a defined remediation period. Traffic is placed under enhanced monitoring during this period.

Repeated Violations -- Suspension

Campaign operations are temporarily suspended. Revenue share payments are withheld pending investigation. The publisher must demonstrate corrective measures before reinstatement is considered.

Severe or Intentional Violations -- Termination

Permanent account termination with forfeiture of all unpaid revenue share. This action is applied when violations are determined to be intentional, involve prohibited traffic sources, or represent a pattern of non-compliance despite prior warnings.

All enforcement decisions are documented and communicated to the affected publisher in writing. Publishers may request a review of enforcement actions by contacting their account manager.
